Ceramic Fiber Modules are packaged thermal insulation units designed to meet the demanding requirements of industrial furnaces and high-temperature equipment. The modules consist of stacked layers of ceramic fiber blankets with exposed edges, to aid quick installation along furnace linings.
Each module incorporates an anchor system that secures the blankets firmly in place, ensuring effective and lasting insulation performance even in the most intense heat conditions. Different module types are available – flat surface slicing blocks, folded blocks, or anchored modules – to cater to specific operational needs.
Rated for continuous use at temperatures up to 2300°F (1260°C) or 2600°F (1427°C), ceramic fiber modules deliver reliable thermal protection across industries such as petrochemical, metallurgy, aluminum, ceramics, and more. Their prefabricated nature simplifies installation, improves downtime, and maximizes productivity.
Ceramic Fiber Modules boast an array of properties that make them well-suited for demanding high-temperature applications:
Engineered ceramic fiber blankets enabling continuous use up to 2600°F (1427°C).
Layers of ceramic blankets with exposed edges allow easy installation lining furnaces.
Built-in anchors secure modules, maintaining insulation integrity despite intense heat.
Choice of flat slicing blocks, folded blocks, or anchored modules to meet different needs.
Minimizes heat transfer while maximizing insulation effectiveness and energy efficiency.
Combines low weight with resilience against vibrations and impact.

Starts with the extrusion of high-purity ceramic fibers composed of alumina, silica, and other refractory materials through precise spinnerets, creating uniform fibrous strands.
These fiber strands undergo carding to distribute them evenly, forming a lightweight fibrous blanket. This blanket is then needled using barbed needles to entangle and lock the fibers, creating a sturdy yet flexible insulation mat without binders.
The needled blanket is cut into precise layers based on the desired module dimensions. These layers are carefully stacked with their edges exposed to facilitate easy installation along furnace linings.
An integrated anchoring system, typically metallic studs or anchors, is incorporated into the stacked layers during manufacturing to secure the modules firmly in place during operation.
The anchored stacked layers are assembled into the final module configurations - slicing blocks, folded blocks, or fully anchored and shaped modules based on specific application requirements.
A controlled curing process stabilizes the ceramic fiber modules, after which they undergo thorough quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, anchor integrity, and overall module specifications before shipping.
To meet diverse operational needs, the Ceramic Fiber Modules below are durable and suitable for various types of projects:
These modules feature a flat surface and are designed for efficient installation along straight furnace wall linings. Their exposed edges allow for easy butting and sealing between adjacent modules.
Folded Blocks incorporate a specific angled or curved shape, enabling seamless insulation coverage in areas with complex furnace geometries, such as corners or curved sections.
These pre-assembled units integrate the anchoring system directly into the stacked ceramic fiber layers during manufacturing. Anchored Modules provide a complete insulation solution ready for installation, minimizing on-site labor.
Engineered to withstand extreme heat , Ceramic Fiber Modules find application across diverse industries where high-temperature processes demand reliable and efficient insulation solutions.
Heating furnaces, cracking furnaces, and reformer linings
Heating furnaces, annealing furnaces, roller hearth furnaces
Soaking furnaces, homogenizing furnaces
Tunnel kilns, intermittent kilns, calcining kilns
Waste heat recovery systems, combustion chambers
Furnace linings and insulation

A ceramic fiber module is a pre-engineered insulation unit consisting of stacked layers of ceramic fiber blankets designed for lining high-temperature furnaces and equipment.
Ceramic fibers are inorganic, non-metallic materials primarily composed of alumina and silica, prized for their excellent thermal resistance and insulation capabilities.
The primary raw materials used to manufacture ceramic fibers include alumina (aluminum oxide), silica (silicon dioxide), and other refractory oxides like zirconia.
